    How to change it

    You’ll need: Anti-static strap, small flathead screwdriver

    1. Power down fully

      Shut down, unplug the power cord and hold the power button for 5 seconds to drain the board.

    2. Release the clip

      Press the small metal latch beside the socket; the cell pops up.

    3. Insert + up

      Slide the new CR2032 under the latch with the + side up and press until it clicks.

    Handy tip

    Replacing the CMOS cell resets BIOS settings. Note any XMP or boot-order changes first.
